What is Big Wine Bike?

Big Wine Bike is a fun, unique way for you and your group to experience wine tasting on Treasure Island.

Can we drink on Big Wine Bike?

No alcohol consumption is permitted on Big Wine Bike. There are cup holders for water bottles and good hydration is recommended for everyone.

Do I need a helmet?

If you’re 18 or older, you can choose if you will wear a helmet while on Big Wine Bike. Big Wine Bike provides helmets to borrow or riders may bring their own.

What do I need to bring or remember?

No Outside Alcohol: There are multiple places stop for a drink on Treasure Island if you’re parched. We cannot allow open or outside alcohol on Big Wine Bike.
Jacket: Treasure Island can be very windy, and you won’t regret having a jacket with you. There is ample storage on Big Wine Bike if you need.
Eat Before: Wine tasting can be lots of fun, please make sure you are well fed ahead of time.
Park Smart: Hide your valuables, and lock your vehicle.

Are there age requirements to ride Big Wine Bike? Are there weight limits?

Big Wine Bike facilitates the tasting and purchase of locally produced wines. In California, anyone over the age of 21 may buy or consume alcohol.

Minors, ages 17 or under, accompanied by their legal guardian(s), may ride Big Wine Bike, provided they ride on the bench seat and wear a bicycle helmet as required by California law. Big Wine Bike provides helmets to borrow or riders may bring their own.

How fast does Big Wine Bike go?

Top speed for Big Wine Bike is 15 miles an hour. Eight passengers really do pump the bike pedals from their seats known as pedal stations. We have one bench seat that can accommodate two riders who don’t pedal. If a power assist is required, our Pilot can activate Big Wine Bike’s electric motor.
